Cruising Day 3

FRIDAY 2 NOVEMBER

We arrived to a rainy Tenerife at 9am today and decided to go check out the cheapest El Corte Ingles there is… just because 13 bags isn’t quite crazy enough. I’m suffering from vertigo again and have therefore decided to sit down at a cafe whilst Junior checks out the wine. Because that’s what he likes to do. A lot.

Before he left me here we saw a touristy looking man passing by with a Pata Negra, perfectly packed up ready for transportation. Junior suggested we buy one too. Because, as we now know, thirteen bags and 33 bottles of wine just doesn’t quite satisfy him. I’m praying to all there is out there that his senses return asap!

I’m really struggling today, everything is moving. I desperately need a glass of something much stronger than my latte. I have proudly ordered a caña in Spanish, but seems they actually call draft beer cerveza here. Typical. The waitress is very nice but one eye is slightly, er, out of place so when she stands close to me and talks it seems I answer only when she is talking to the table next to me and never when she is actually talking to me. I need to remember to focus on her healthy eye…

Anyway…

Tonight at 6pm we leave the island, we have a six day journey ahead of us with the sea as our only neighbour. If the days pass as quickly as they have so far we will be fine. Either way, there is constantly shit loads of food to eat and plenty of bars!

And then we arrive to Brazil, my new home!
